Miller’s love for cooking started as a child. He grew up in a house where his mom made home-cooked meals every day and his dad, an avid fisher and hunter, taught him to harvest wild game and fish from an early age. “I began experimenting with the food we harvested and realized how much of a rush it was to create new dishes for everyone to try,” Miller said.
He worked in the food and beverage industry throughout high school and college. But it wasn’t until he began studying Business Management at Southeast Missouri State University that he realized he wanted to pursue his true passion – cooking. He went on to become a chef and owner of a fine dining restaurant. From there, he moved into food preparation and dietary planning in the healthcare industry. And in 2013, he started as a Sous Chef at Isle Casino® Cape Girardeau.
Over the years, Miller worked his way up and became the Executive Chef at Isle Casino® Cape Girardeau in May 2017. This position allows him to share his passion for food every day. “It is truly rewarding coming to work every day with a team of amazing, talented chefs and a staff that is always ready to create a delicious and exciting culinary experience for our guests,” Miller said.
