The Missouri Veteran's History Project
Our nation's Veterans each have a unique perspective to share about our history. First-hand recollections of their service provide a richer and more personal context to historical accounts. The Missouri Veterans History Project (MVHP) is a non-for-profit corporation organized to interview and record the stories of our Veterans.
- Veteran's stories are videotaped and a copy is given to the Veterans at no cost to them.
- The stories are preserved by the U.S. Library of Congress and the State Historical Society of Missouri.
- The U.S. Library of Congress requires interviews to be at least 30 minutes in length.
- To be eligible, the Veteran must be a Missouri resident.
The Isle Casino Cape Girardeau is the local Chapter which coordinates and facilitates the interviews with local Veterans.
