Robert Washington is a Southeast Missouri native. When Robert graduated from high school, he joined the marines. Ironically, Elvis passed away on Robert’s 19th birthday. He was the first African American to win in the World Championship Elvis Impersonator contest beating 100 other competitors. During the Elvis Rocks Mesquite in 2011, Robert fell short and became runner up but he sure didn’t give up. All his hard work paid off when he won the title of Elvis Rocks Mesquite in 2012.
